Design & Construction (2019)

A mature family of four, parents and two sons, are planning a move to a new four-level residence. Two floors will function as a duplex for the parents, with each son having their own dedicated floor. The parents, who cherish their mornings, desire a central garden to create a productive and enjoyable outdoor space. However, challenges arise. The plot's shape hinders a straightforward garden design, the south-facing location experiences scorching summer heat, and water conservation dictates minimizing grassy areas and expanding low-maintenance hardscapes. Furthermore, creating a visually engaging focal point and establishing distinct garden zones with diverse atmospheres are key to cater to the family's varied needs.
